Our first season of Sanctioned Level 4’s was a huge success.  We had just under 350 gymnasts at the State Championships in St. Louis.  Thanks to All American for hosting the competition.  All the Level 4 athletes received a bag from the State as a gift for making it to state.  This is part of the State Committee’s new program to upgrade what we do for our athletes.  Let me know how your girls liked the gifts. 

A big congratulation to the top Level 4 gymnasts in the state of MO!  The top teams at the Level 4 State Championships were:

Our National Apparel Fund for the gymnasts that qualify to the National Championships is going great too!  MO has really jumped on board and the donations are coming in.

Your State Committee is currently working on the following issues:

  1. Number of judges required at a sanctioned USAG meet that will directly qualify a compulsory athlete to our Missouri State Championships.
  2. Protocol for coaches at meets. When is behavior a violation?
  3. How do we evaluate judges and Meet sites better?  You can help by sending in evaluations from each meet!

STATE MEETING – we will be moving the annual State membership meeting to the weekend of the State Championships for Level 6 – 10.  This will be a much more convenient meeting time for all of us.  Please look for this information to be posted on the web site by March 1.

Level 9 Western Nationals are being hosted by Gym Quarters in St. Louis this year!  That’s right Westerns will be right here in MO!  For information on Level 9 Westerns please visit this web site after Feb. 4, 2005.  www.gymquarters.com
