The Preschool Fundamentals course is comprised of two parts. Part 1, Preschool Fundamentals: Theory, is an online course that will focus on the theory and concepts of preschool education. Part 2, Preschool Fundamentals: Hand on Training (HOT), is a live course that focuses on the practical application of the concepts learned in Part 1.

Preschool Fundamentals: Hands on Training ( H.O.T. Course)

This is a live, hands-on training course designed for preschool and recreational instructors.  Part 2 course topics include fundamental movement for children, class safety overview, games, activities to avoid, manipulatives, lesson planning, inclusion of music, thematic teaching, parent/child teaching, and the use of apparatus. This is a great hands on follow-up to the theory course, with course instructors demonstrating practical examples of many of the concepts taught in Part 1. (It is recommended to take part one first, but not required.)

H.O.T. Course will be offered in St. Louis on Jan. 4, 2008

Where:                        Team Central Gym         9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Who should attend?:                        Preschool and Recreational teachers

Why?                           This is the new certification for preschool teachers through USAG University. Update your program!

Cost:                           The cost for the live course is $65 for professional, junior professional, instructor or athlete members; $115 for nonmembers (the nonmember rate includes a one year instructor membership with USA Gymnastics). The minimum age for course participation is 15. At the conclusion of the live course, participants will be given a Part 2 certificate of completion.  Register early to avoid the late fee.  (by Dec. 21)
